Melipotis perpendicularis(?)

DISTRIBUTION: S. & C. America; Antilles.
TYPE LOCALITY: Colombia.
BELIZE RECORDS: Augustine.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: Richards (1939) in his revision of this genus illustrates the adult in black and white (plate 1, figs. 26-28) and the male genitalia (plate 6, fig. 10). To be certain of this identification dissection would be necessary. Several other Melipotis species may be expected to be present in Belize.
