DISTRIBUTION: tropical and subtropical Americas.
TYPE LOCALITY: Jamaica.
BELIZE RECORDS: Greenhills; Pook's Hill; Augustine.
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: adult and genitalia illustrated by Todd & Poole (1980) figs. 10, 11 (adults) and 33, 47 (male and female genitalia). There is considerable sexual dimorphism, as illustrated.
