Distribution: southern USA to Argentina; Antilles.
Type locality: French Guyana.
Synonyms: Homoptera guadulpensis Guenee 1852; Homoptera terrosa Guenee 1852; Homoptera gradata Walker 1858; Homoptera posterior Walker 1858 .
E. Caribbean records: Guadeloupe; Dominica; Barbados.
Grenadines records: Bequia, Mustique (E.U. Exp., No. 61).
