Distribution: tropical and subtropical America.
Type locality: USA.
Synonyms: Agrotis inspinosa Guenee 1852; Noctua robusta Blanchard 1852; Agrotis consueta Walker 1857; Agrotis submucosa Herrich-Schaeffer 1868.
