Distribution: South America; Antilles (etc.?)
Type locality: 'North America' (West Indies).
Synonyms: Idessa pyrgionalis Walker 1859.
Source of record: Jamaica is Type Locality of Idessa pyrgionalis Walker.
Method of identification: my specimens kindly identified by Dr. Eugene Munroe of Ottawa. Adult also illustrated in black and white by Amsel (1956) pl. 104, fig. 7.
