Type locality: Dominican Republic.
Synonyms: Crambus curtellus Walker 1863; Crambus gestatellus Moeschler 1890.
Source of record: Listed by Gowdey (1926) (as 'Crambus curtellus').
Method of identification: illustrated in black and white by Amsel (1956) pl. 69, fig. 2 (adult) and pl. 5, figs. 1 & 6 (genitalia).
