Type locality: Europe.
Synonyms: Tinea zeae Fitch 1856; Ephestia interpunctalis Hubner 1896; Unadilla latercula Hampson 1901; Ephestia glycinivora Matsumura 1917; Ephestia latercula Hampson 1932.
Source of record: no specific record, but unlikely not to be present in Jamaica.
Method of identification: adult and genitalia illustrated in black and white by Holloway et al. (1987) p. 123.
Notes: the larva is the 'Indian Meal Moth', a pest on stored and dried vegetable products worldwide.
