SUBFAMILY DESCRIPTION
The subfamily LARENTIINAE consists of quite small species (usually about 20-25 mm in wingspan) often with characteristic zig-zag patterns radiating outwards from base to apex of both wings. Colours tend to be subdued fuscous greys, yellows and browns and it is often difficult to distinguish similar species on external appearance.
