Neritos leucoplaga

DISTRIBUTION: Central and South America.
TYPE LOCALITY: French Guyana.
NICARAGUA RECORDS: Domitila (M.J.C.B.).
METHOD OF IDENTIFICATION: adult illustrated in colour by Hampson (1920) pl. 45, fig. 10. This species matches quite closely to specimens from French Guyana in my collection identified as Neritos leucoplaga by Jeannot Cerda. Other similar species include N. sorex Druce and N. discophora Hampson.
NOTES: this identification requires confirmation.
