SUBFAMILY DESCRIPTION
The subfamily ENNOMINAE contains half of the world's known species of Geometridae. Its species are technically separated from those of other Geometrid subfamilies by the absence of vein M2 in the hindwing (Holloway, Bradley and Carter 1987). Their external appearance varies greatly although they are generally large to quite large broad-winged species with often delicate wings and bodies.
