SUBFAMILY DESCRIPTION
The PLUSIINAE, which includes numerous species with metallic wing markings, are probably a 'natural' group containing truly related species. The Plusiinae of North America - including many species found further south - have been revised and illustrated by Eichlin & Cunningham (1978) and by Lafontaine & Poole (1991)
